For Med Insure, cashless facility is available to AIA panel and platinum hospitals, whereas you will need to pay first and reimburse from AIA after discharge if you seek medical treatment in a non-AIA panel hospital.
Cashless Facility (applicable to AIA panel and platinum hospitals)
During Admission:
- Present your identity card to the hospital admission officer to request a Guarantee Letter (GL) from AIA.
- Check the GL decision via SMS before admission.
- Once GL is approved, you will need to pay a hospital deposit if required, depending on the hospital protocols.
- You may proceed to admit and seek medical treatment.
During Discharge:
- The hospital will provide the final billing and complete discharge documents to AIA for final GL.
- Once final GL is approved and issued, you will need to pay the deductible amount and any other ineligible expenses (if applicable), then you can discharge from the hospital.
Reimbursement Claim (applicable to non-AIA panel hospitals)
- You need to notify us by submitting your claim within 30 days from the date of discharge.
- Obtain the claim submission webpage link either in the email you received your e-certificate or Touch ‘n Go eWallet > Insurance > ‘My Policies’.
- Complete the claim submission webpage and provide the supporting documents required.
- Submit your claim to AIA via the claim submission page.
Payments for benefits will be made by AIA directly. Payment for all benefits under reimbursement claim will be paid to the Insured Person.
