Malware is a malicious application designed to take control of a user’s phone and steal sensitive information. Applications downloaded from unofficial sources may contain malware or harmful modifications.
Why is malware dangerous? It can:
- Take control of your phone
- Steal your personal details
- Make unauthorised transactions from your eWallet account
- Access and steal banking information stored on your device
What can you do?
- Only download apps from official sources, such as the Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery
- Uninstall any applications flagged as malware by TNG eWallet’s Malware Shielding feature
- Remove apps that were not downloaded from official sources
