If your eSIM isn’t connecting consistently, try the steps below to refresh your settings and stabilise your connection.
Step 1: Turn off your local SIM line, Wi-Fi, and VPN
Keep only your Travel eSIM active for mobile data.
Android
- Open Settings
- Tap Connections or Network & Internet
- Select your Primary SIM
- Toggle Turn On SIM to OFF
iOS
- Open Settings
- Tap Mobile Data or Cellular
- Tap Data Plans, Cellular Plans, or SIMs
- Select your Primary Line
- Toggle Turn On This Line to OFF
✅ Also ensure Wi-Fi and VPN (if enabled) are turned off temporarily.
Step 2: Manually select a local network
This keeps your eSIM connected to the strongest available network in your location.
Android
- Open Settings
- Tap Network & Internet, Connections, or similar
- Tap Mobile Network or SIM & Network
- Select your Travel eSIM
- Tap Network Operators or Choose Network
- Turn off Automatic
- Select a local network manually
iOS
- Open Settings
- Tap Mobile Data or Cellular
- Tap Cellular Plans or SIMs
- Select your Travel eSIM
- Tap Network Selection or Cellular Network
- Turn off Automatic
- Choose a local network manually
Step 3: Set your network to 3G only
3G may offer better stability in some areas. You can switch back to 4G or 5G later.
Android
- Open Settings
- Tap Network & Internet or Connections
- Tap Mobile Network or SIM & Network
- Select your Travel eSIM
- Tap Preferred Network Type or Network Mode
- Choose 3G only or 3G/2G
iOS
- Open Settings
- Tap Mobile Data or Cellular
- Tap Cellular Plans or SIMs
- Select your Travel eSIM
- Tap Voice & Data
- Select 3G
Step 4: Restart your connection
Apply any new changes by resetting the connection.
- Turn on Airplane Mode for 1–3 minutes
- Turn it off again and check your connection
Alternatively, restart your phone and wait 1–3 minutes before trying to reconnect.
