You must ensure that your property is adequately insured at all times considering the cost of rebuilding your property (excluding the cost of land) taking into account any renovation and enhancement made to your property, otherwise you will need to bear a proportional share of the loss if you are under-insured, i.e. your sum insured is less than the rebuilding cost at the time of loss. You may use the Building Cost Calculator (BCC) by Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) embedded in the SafeHome quotation to get the estimated rebuilding cost of your property to estimate your sum insured.
On Contents:
This is the total amount of home content that you would like to insure under the Policy. You do not need to declare each item/article that you want to insure specifically, however, the payout of each item/article is limited to 5% of the total content coverage amount.
