How do I link the Touch ‘n Go Charm I have purchased into TNG eWallet?

To be able to enjoy the full benefits of the Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled charms, please ensure you meet the following prerequisites:

1. Users’ TNG eWallet account needs to be eKYC verified
2. Users need to have an NFC compatible device with minimum Operating Software requirement of iOS 13 (Apple) and Android 4.4 (Android & other models). Users need to ensure their device meets the minimum OS and it is installed in their devices to ensure the reload via eWallet works as per designed. Some model of phones purchased from different countries may cause issues to the NFC functionality. Please check with your mobile device’s manufacturer prior to attempting to use the Touch ‘n Go Charm with your mobile device
3. Users need to update their TNG eWallet to app version 1.7.72 or above to enjoy all the supplementary in-app features

Once you have ensured you meet all the prerequisites, you can link your Touch ‘n Go Charm following the below steps:

Step 1: Tap on TNG Card icon on the home screen.

Step 2: Click on Add Card button or ‘+’ button on top right.

Step 2a: Verify your TNG eWallet account if you have not done so by completing the eKYC.

If your phone has NFC capability:

Step 3: Click on the Scan Now or  button.

Step 4: Place your Touch ‘n Go Charm behind your phone and ensure proper surface contact. For iPhones, scan on the top part of phone’s back beside the camera, whereas for Android, scan at the middle of the phone’s back. This process may require some trial and error depending on your device.

Step 5: Once successful, your 10-digit Serial Number will be automatically populated. Verify the 10-digit Serial Number populated in-app is as per printed on your charm.

Step 6: Fill in the Preferred Card Name field. If you were to omit the field, a system default name will be assigned to your linked charm.  

Step 7: Click on Add button and you are ready to use your Touch ‘n Go Charm.

Step 8: Enter your 6-digit TNG eWallet PIN.

Note you can only link up to 10 Touch ‘n Go Charm/card in your TNG eWallet.

If your phone is NOT NFC enabled (note that you would not be able to do reload via eWallet if your phone has NFC capability disabled or lacks NFC capability)

Step 3: Manually key in your 10-digit Charm Serial Number.

Step 4: Fill in the Preferred Card Name field. If you were to omit the field, a system default name will be assigned to your linked charm.  

Step 5: Click on Add button and you are ready to use your TNG Charm.

Step 6: Enter your 6-digit TNG eWallet PIN.

Note you can only link up to 10 TNG Charm/cards in your TNG eWallet.
