It may be covered under one Tokio Marine Explorer International plan. The period of coverage shall start from the scheduled departure date from Kuala Lumpur, until the scheduled return date to Kuala Lumpur.

a) Scenario 1:
1 Feb: Flight from Sabah to KL
3 Feb: Flight from KL to London
15 Feb: Flight from London to KL
17 Feb: Flight from KL to Sabah
The policy effective date should be based on 3 February (i.e. the scheduled departure date out of Malaysia). Except for Travel Cancellations, other covered events happen in Kuala Lumpur between 1 and 3 February will be covered according to the definition of International Trip, which include 72 hours prior to scheduled departure time out of Malaysia. Similarly, the policy expiry date should be based on 15 February (i.e. the schedule arrival date back to Malaysia). Any covered events happen in Kuala Lumpur between 15 and 17 February will be covered according to the definition of International Trip, which include 72 hours after the scheduled arrival time back in Malaysia.
b) Scenario 2:
1 Mar: Flight from Sabah to KL
7 Mar: Flight from KL to Thailand
15 Mar: Flight from Thailand to KL
20 Mar: Flight from KL to Sabah
The policy effective date should be based on 7 March (i.e. the scheduled departure date out of Malaysia). Except for Travel Cancellation, other covered events happen in KL between 4 and 7 March will be covered according to the definition of International Trip, which include 72 hours prior to scheduled departure time out of Malaysia. The traveller may opt for a separate Domestic coverage to cover travelling in KL from 1 to 3 March.
Similarly, the policy expiry date should be based on 15 March (i.e. the schedule arrival date back to Malaysia). Any covered events happen in KL between 17 and 20 March will be covered according to the definition of International Trip, which include 72 hours after the scheduled arrival time back in Malaysia. The traveller may opt for a separate Domestic coverage to cover travelling in KL from 18 to 20 March.
