Auto Debit allows merchants to automatically deduct payments from your account based on an agreed schedule, such as subscriptions or recurring bills. By activating Auto Debit, you give consent for these deductions after linking your payment account and accepting the terms, including the billing amount, frequency, and cancellation policy.
During setup, some merchants may make a small verification charge (for example, RM0.10) to confirm that your account is valid and that you have authorized future deductions. Not all merchants require this step — some will only charge when the first payment is due.
This verification confirms that your payment account is valid and active, and that you have given explicit permission for future automatic deductions. Once you approve this small transaction, it serves as confirmation that the Auto Debit agreement is legally binding between you and the merchant.
After Auto Debit is activated, payments will be deducted automatically according to the agreed schedule. You will receive a notification each time a payment is successfully made, and the transaction will appear in your history as confirmation.
If your balance is insufficient, the payment may fail. You will be notified so you can take the necessary action. You can also view your Auto Debit permissions and related transactions in the Permission & Auto Debit section of your app.
