Is there any waiting period before I am eligible for the benefits?

Eligibility for benefits and service will only start after a specific period from the issue date or effective date of reinstatement of the certificate of insurance, whichever is the later. Waiting period is applied only when you are first covered and shall not be applicable after the first year of coverage. However, if there is a break in continuity of the insurance coverage after the first year of coverage, the waiting period shall apply again.
