AIA will not pay for any claim in respect of the following :
- Failure of the Insured Person to check in according to the itinerary supplied to him/her;
- Failure of the Insured Person to obtain written confirmation from the common carrier of their handling agents of the number of hours delayed and the reason for such delay;
- Strike, riot or industrial action publicly known to be existing on the date of purchasing the policy;
- The late arrival of the Insured Person at the airport or port;
- Any delay, reschedule or cancellation by the common carrier which was notified to the Insured Person at least 24 hours prior to the original departure time of the trip;
- Any additional expenses incurred if any part of the trip is cancelled, deferred or postponed;
- Less than 3 consecutive hours of delay.
