The policy states that for loss or damage due to the negligence of the common carrier or hotel, Insured Person should lodge a claim with the common carrier or hotel first before lodging a claim with AIA together with proof of compensation received from or claim rejected by the common carrier or hotel, provided that the baggage and/or personal effects must be checked-in with the common carrier or hotel.
AIA will reimburse for the loss, damage or repair of the Insured Person’s baggage and personal effects occurred during the trip due to theft, attempted theft, robbery, attempted robbery, or the negligence of the common carrier or hotel, less any wear & tear, depreciation or any compensation paid by the common carrier or hotel.
