The top 10 e-wallets in Malaysia (by transaction size and number of users) were invited to participate in the programme in accordance with clear guidelines as well as terms and conditions (T&Cs) set by the Ministry of Finance (MoF). The guidelines and T&Cs include meeting the technical aspects of the programme, details on cost sharing as well as additional benefits to be provided by each e-wallet to match the Government provided eBeliaRahmah credit.
Subsequent to discussions and assessments, 3 e-wallet providers which are Boost, Setel and Touch ‘n Go eWallet have committed to participate in the programme. These three e-wallet providers have a combined active user base of more than 10 million, and a network of more than 2 million merchants, both online and offline. This strong and wide coverage will enable this programme to be available nationwide.
